It was summertime in Louisiana, and dry.  Like everywhere else, they could really use the rain. 9_25_1

Which of course, it did.  An hour before our session.  The rain quickly passed and blue skies came back out, but so did the humidity.  Louisiana is H-O-T! 9_25_3

They met through her Aunt, who attends the same church where his father is the Pastor.  They both come from large extended and very close knit families, surprisingly enough that are all from the same area of Louisiana.  Jamie is as petite as Jeromy is tall, and although this is the first difference you will notice, they are very similar both having a southern upbringing.  (Gotta love the politeness of the South! And the glazed donuts her father bought.  YUM!!)  And although she lived 13 hours away, they made their long distance relationship work until he finally proposed. 9_25_6

They chose a beautiful area by his parent's house on the water.  And as we walked around the area, the dark clouds of rain started rolling in allowing us the perfect lighting, but also reminding us that rain in this area isn't just a little sprinkle.  When they say rain, they mean RAIN.  At the end of their session Jeromy mentioned a field of sunflowers that wasn't very far away, and if we hurried we would be able to get a few shots, 1. before we melted in the humidity, and 2. before the rain.  9_25_7

It was an amazing location.  They did not need me to give them much direction, they seemed to move in time with each other.  And as they stood in the middle of all of those flowers and looked into each others eyes you could feel how much love they shared. 9_25_8
